Rule Reminder to Cruiser Teams

Good Afternoon Cruiser Teams, I want to be sure that you are aware of two important considerations in the building of a Cruiser Vehicle: (1) All solar cars, including Cruiser Vehicles, must have crush zones as specified in the Race Rules and Clarified in Event Update No. 2026-3 (copy attached). Crush zones are so very important in a cross-country race. They are designed to help protect the passengers in the event of a collision. (2) Rule 33.2.3(b) requires Cruisers have doors. You may already have incorporated these requirements into your vehicles, but I thought it was prudent to send a reminder. I bring these points to your attention so that you will be better prepared for Scrutineering. Best regards,
