Giving to the Solar Car Challenge

Thank you for your interest in donating to the Solar Car Challenge. The Solar Car Challenge & Education Program is designed to help motivate students in Science, Engineering, and Alternative Energy. We teach high school students how to plan, design, engineer, build, race, and evaluate roadworthy solar cars. Students demonstrate that green technology can create a better world.

The Solar Car Challenge Foundation is funded through sponsorship from corporations and foundations, as well as individual donations. Every gift is important in helping the Solar Car Education Program motivate high school students in science and engineering. Preliminary studies show that students taking part in the Solar Car Challenge are 23% more likely to enter a science or engineering profession than other similarly situated high school students.

All donations are tax-deductible. The Solar Car Challenge Foundation is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational institution.
