Solar Car Challenge Where-to-Be Document
June 20, 2026

Good Afternoon Solar Car Teams,

(1) Attached is the official "Where-to-Be What-to-Do" document. This sets out what teams need to be doing at all times. It is crucial for your successful participation in the 2026 Solar Car Challenge.

(2) The Where-to-Be Document sets out times for required solar car displays, race stops, meals, and other details. Please refer to Rule 24.4 which provides:

Failure to Comply with Stops - Failure to comply with the mandatory displays and stops during each day of the event will incur a 15 mile penalty for each infraction. Teams must drive the two miles preceding and following the Starting Line, the Finish Line, Mandatory Stops, and specified cities. In the event that a vehicle is mechanically unable to drive the two miles, and is in the process of being trailered, no penalty will be assessed so long as the Team Judge feels that this would be in the best interest of safety. A team failing to make a required stop forfeits any opportunity to receive that day’s Daily Trophy.

(3) Please don't forget that the Official Team Video is due no later than July 1st. Please follow the guidelines set out in Event Update No. 2026-6. Send your video in a mp4 format to video@solarcarchallenge.org
