Good Afternoon Solar Car Teams,

One of the real advantages of a cross-country race is that we have wonderful opportunities to build camaraderie. To this end, the Solar Car Challenge is providing on-the-road meals so that we can enjoy having dinner together.

Key to this plan is that teams must arrive at the End-of-Race no later than 7:00 PM! If you arrive after this time, you are responsible for your own dinner . . . and for your judge's dinner!

Your ticket to these Solar Car Challenge meals is your Race Identification Card worn by every race participant.

Here are the Meal Plans

The Opening Banquet and Awards Banquets are supported by your purchase of tickets. We provide meal alternatives to support most dietary requirements during these banquets.
Banquet tickets can be purchased during Team Check-In.

Meals provided by the Solar Car Challenge: (1) Saturday, July 18th - Traditional Chuckwagon Dinner hosted on the old basket ball court at the DFW Marriott . (2) Sunday, July 19th - Laynes Chicken Fingers meal hosted on the Palestine High School Parking Lot. (3) Monday, July 20th - Smokey Mo's Barbecue Dinner hosted on the West Parking Lot of the Dell Diamond. Sponsored by Dell Technologies. (4) Tuesday, July 21st - Teams will be holding an extended solar car display at the Marktplatz Park in Fredericksburg. We will provide H.E.B. Box Meals at 5:00 PM in the park. (5) Wednesday, July 22nd - Steak Express Hamburgers hosted on the Home Depot parking lot in San Angelo.

And of course . . . Thursday Evening is the Awards Banquet.
