Revised Race Mileage and Information
Good Afternoon Solar Car Teams,
Revised Race Mileage
Attached is the revised 2026 Solar Car Challenge Race Day Mileage. It is slightly revised to reflect GPS distances rather than my truck's odometer reading.
The "Maximum Mileage" amount indicates the total number of miles available for a team to drive each day of the race.
We adjusted the daily mileage because the Race tabulates your progress based on our tracking of your GPS location.
Banquet Tickets
We are making plans for the Opening Banquet and Awards Banquet. Please email your expected head count so that we will have sufficient seating.
Preparation for the Race
Please be sure that you sufficiently test your solar car prior to arriving at Scrutineering. You need experience driving hills! You also need to be proficient in loading and unloading your solar car from your trailer. We will provide an award for "Trailering Proficiency" based on your demonstrated skills in Station Six of Scrutineering.
Review Scrutineering Booklet
We provide teams a list of all the questions asked during Scrutineering. Please take the time to work through this
document, and check out the information on this webpage:
