Solar Car Challenge Event Update: Friday, July 11th

Good Morning Solar Racers,

It is one week to Team Check-In. Looking forward to seeing you in Fort Worth! Attached is the Final Where-to-Be What-to-Do document.

Here is a reminder for Team Check-In:
Teams need to bring the following:
(1) SCC Release of Liability Form signed by families
(2) All drivers verify their driver’s licenses [Driver Check-In]
[Wristbands awarded when driver completes Scrutineering Station 4]
(3) Teams with more than 14 people (students, teachers, chaperones) make arrangements for "extra person fee"
(4) Purchase tickets for Awards Banquet - $30/person
(5) Non-digital Photo Album showing students building the solar car
(6) Supply items needed to fulfill Final Race Registration packet

Teams will receive:
(1) Release of Liability Form for the Texas Motor Speedway
[Completed by teams before Opening Banquet]
(2) 14 tee shirts
(3) 50 Official Race Booklets
(4) Traditional "baking soda" for environmental spills
(5) Rule Booklet and "Where-to-Be What-to-Do" Document
(6) Official Scrutineering Packet
(7) Race Identification for all race participants
[Must be worn at all time by all race participants]
(8) Caution, Solar Car Ahead signs [2]
(9) Draw for Starting Order and get Race Decals
(10) RFID Tag
(11) Teams can order "wrap-up" Race Video

I will be sending out this weekend a notice to teams indicating what items were not found in the Final Registration Packet. These must be provided at Team Check-In. A late fee will be assessed based on Rule 3.6.
